At Dominique's House, my motto is, "Make good food. Invite people. Do it often." There is something magical about gathering around a dining room table with friends and family for food and fellowship that nourishes the body and the soul. The Sunday dinner table is where we really learned about each other—our history, our hopes and worries, stories, jokes, and personalities. It’s a tradition that we’ve gotten away from; but, I want to bring us back to the table that is dressed in fine dinnerware, pressed linens, a bouquet of fresh flowers plucked from my garden and food that is delicious, comforting, and made with love. What's INCLUDED
A Full Spread
A Full Spread is for those who want to feast at the Queen’s table. Be prepared to eat, talk, laugh, dance, relax and then eat some more. You and your guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres followed by a family-style meal seated around a formal dining room table. Your homemade dessert will consist of cakes, pies, cookies, and/or homemade icecream, etc. A selection of imported teas and coffee will be offered with and after dessert.
A Lighter Fare
A Lighter Fare is for those who do not want to eat too heavy and prefer light hors d’oeuvres or a lunch or brunch. For example, you could opt for a reception style gathering with a selection of light hors d’oeuvres. Or you could choose a lunch consisting of homemade soup, salad and bread or pasta and salad. A light dessert and non-alcoholic beverages are included. With this option a meal can be served to guests at a formal place setting at the dining room table or your guests can enjoy light bites as they mix and mingle throughout the living space.
A Warm Atmosphere
Whether you choose a lighter fare or a full spread, you and your guests will also enjoy a warm, relaxing spacious living room and an outdoor covered patio for socializing before and after your meal.

1. What types of cuisine do you prepare?
Whatever you have a taste for. Please browse the "What's Cooking" and "What's baking" pages for endless mouth watering options to choose from to build your custom menu. Also, check out my Instagram page @dmnqshs for more inspiration. From southern comfort fare to a Mediterranean spread, you're sure to find something to satisfy your appetite.
2. How many people can I invite?
My dining room seats ten comfortably, so I can accommodate you plus nine others for a formal dining experience. If you choose the less formal, Lighter Fare option with just hors d'oeuvres (no formal, seated meal), I can accommodate up to 20 people.
3. How long can we stay?
Dominique's House is open to you and your guest for 3 hours. Unlike at a traditional restaurant, you won't feel rushed to eat or have to worry about a server eager to turnover a table. During the first 30 minutes, beverages and appetizer are served to allow time for all of your guest to arrive. Dinner will be served promptly 45 minutes after the hour. This allows time for everyone to enjoy their meal and have plenty of time relax and socialize before, during and after dessert.
4. How's the space? What's it like?
Warm, colorful, cozy, fancy, relaxing, spacious. Some have described it a step back in tIme, while others say it feels like they are in another country. It simply feels like home to me. I guess you'll just have to experience it for yourself. You and your guests will have access to a spacious living room, a formal dining room, an outdoor covered patio and a 1st floor guest washroom.
5. What about entertainment?
I will provide some of the best food you've ever had and a beautiful, cozy home to enjoy it in. You, the host, will entertain your guests. This can be as relaxed as you'd like. After dinner, you can play board/card games, take a walk, watch a movie or a ball game, or just plain chat . You are welcomed to a TV with wireless projection capabilities (to watch tv, share photos, Powerpoint presentation, etc.). Bluetooth audio is available to enjoy your favorite playlists while you dine and socialize. I do ask that you reframe from music that is obscene, overly vulgar and/or laced with profanity as that contradicts the mood that I have created for my home.
6. Can I bring decorations to celebrate a special occassion?
Sure! Balloons, banners, streamers and the such are welcome.
7. Can I bring alcohol for me and my guest to enjoy?
It depends. Let's talk about it.
8. What should I wear?
I'll let you and your guests decide that. That's one of the great benefits of an intimate, private gathering. Y'all can come in ball gowns and tuxedos or pajamas. I just want you to have a great time, filled with good conversation and laughs while enjoying some amazing food.
9. I want to dine at Dominique's House, but I don't have a group to bring with me.
Not a problem. You can come by yourself or bring a friend. I cook and eat all the time and its nothing for me to prepare a little extra for you. Drop me a line, we can set a date and see what you have a taste for. You can also RSVP to attend one of the upcoming gatherings listed under the "Events" section on the home page. You just might make a new friend.
10. Do you cater events outside of your home?
No; but, if you want me to whip you up a large pan of mac and cheese or bake you a cake for your event or special occassion, I can make that happen. Please contact me for more details.
